The TRX in use

We wanted to see why our customers buy the TRX Strain Gauge Sensor Display and what they use it for. Prescott Instruments Ltd is one such customer. Located near Tewkesbury, they use the TRX to provide a value-added customer calibration service. The role that the TRX played that enabled Prescott Instruments to offer aftersales support The Prescott Instruments ‘Auto Load RHEO-LINE Multi-Function’ material testing machine (Fig 1.) is an engineering masterpiece. A chain link load sensor will measure the tension that the chain is under This particular customer order is testimony of the power of Search Engine Optimisation marketing. Twenty years ago we wrote a blog about a similar customer request and since then no more chain link strain gauge interest. New High Volume Pressure Department Opens

The new High Volume Pressure department will produce thousands pressure sensors each month. As one of the leading bespoke industrial sensor manufacturers in the UK, our production facilities were setup to build unique sensors in volumes of typically one to ten. However, in recent years not only has the number of Applied Measurement customers increase significantly but so to has the diversity of our customer base. This has included a number of new customers who require thousands of the same bespoke sensor.
